Mechling Historical Association (MHA), Scholarships
This summer, the Mechling Historical Association (MHA), will award (two) $500 scholarships to seniors who have recently graduated from their respective high schools and have plans in place for a post-secondary education. If a student or a family member is interested in receiving more information regarding eligibility, required documents and the selection process, they should contact Steve Mechling at sd.mechling@hotmail.com. The deadline for the application is July 2nd.
The application process will include an essay on the student’s interest and involvement/research in family genealogy
The scholarship program goal is to encourage interest in family genealogy and history. The Mechling Historical Association was founded to research and document the past, as well as celebrate the present. In addition, the goal of the Association is to inspire future generations to embrace the importance of genealogy.
(MHA membership or Mechling lineage is not required and will not be considered in the selection of the recipients. Immediate family members of Officers or Board members of the MHA are not eligible for the scholarship.)
