Patricia Jean MECHLING


Patricia Jean MECHLING, age 76, of Constantine,  passed into glory April 4, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born June 12, 1938, to Arthur and Grace Irene (SHEPARD) DEITRICH of Berrien Springs. She went to Niles schools, graduating in 1956, and later graduated from Davenport University with a degree in business. On June 14, 1969, she married Stan MECHLING. Pat retired from Fonda Group in Three Rivers in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing at the family cabin in Watersmeet, fishing and hunting.
She is survived by her husband Stan, of 46 years, four children, Doug (Jo) EGMER of Constantine, Pam (Randy) DAVIS of Marshall, Kim FULTZ of Three Rivers and John (Janell) MECHLING of Constantine; 10 grandchildren, Misty (Tim) VOSTERS of Three Rivers, Eric (Christina) EGMER of  Round Lake, Ill., Chase (Erin) Smagala of Ridge Top, Tenn., Maggie (Matt) Miller of Marshall, Morgan Smagala of Grand Rapids, Amanda EGMER of Constantine, Kali DAVIS of Minneapolis, Josh MECHLING of Constantine, Jacob MECHLING of Constantine and Zack FULTZ of Constantine;  four great-grandchildren, McKala and Travis VOSTERS, and Ella and Lyla EGMER; and a brother, Jim (Mary) DEITRICH of St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Gregory Duane EGMER.
Relatives and friends will be received from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday  at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Missionary Church in Constantine. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers.

Shanna Elizabeth MECHLING


Shanna Elizabeth MECHLING, 28, of McGrann, died on Monday, March 2, 2015 at home.
She was born on April 27, 1986 in Kittanning, a daughter of Timothy MECHLING and Tina (MECHLING) Leinweber. She was a lifelong resident of the community.
She worked as a child care provider. She attended the North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church. She liked the Wizard of Oz and Harry Potter. She loved fishing, doing crafts, being outside and campfires. She loved her family and friends, and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Shanna is survived by her fiancĂ©: Charles GAISER of McGrann; daughter: Gracie GAISER of McGrann; sisters: Amber MECHLING of New Kensington, Samantha MECHLING of Kittanning, and Lindsay BOWSER of Kittanning; brother: Nick BOWSER of Kittanning; grandparents: Tom and Wanetta MECHLING of Kittanning; grandmother: Violet MECHLING of Kittanning; mother-in-law: Brenda McKIBBIN of Ford City; fiancĂ©’s grandparents: John and Janice LUX of Ford City; nephew: Dominic RUPERT; nieces: Autumn BERRY and Bree BERRY; brother-in-laws: Cody and Colt GAISER of Ford City.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Jack MECHLING; uncle: David MECHLING; and aunt: Jacklynn PELLIGTRENO.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, where a funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, March 6, 2015 with an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10AM until the time of the service. The Reverend David Blevins will officiate. Interment will be in the Salem Hills Church Cemetery.

Elva Jean "Sis" NULPH

Elva Jean “Sis” NULPH, 85, of Kittanning, died on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 2, 1929, in Kittanning, the daughter of Oliver William and Susan E. (HOOKS) MECHLING.
Sis was a lifetime resident of the Kittanning area and previously attended the First Church of God. She had worked at the former G.C. Murphy’s store shortly before her marriage then most recently worked for over 8 years at the Armstrong County Area on Aging. Sis was a former member of the ladies auxiliary of Hose Company #4. Crafts and crocheting where her favorite hobbies, and she enjoyed making Afghans for all her family members. Sis loved cooking and hosting family meals at holidays where she was known for her homemade noodles. She will best be remembered as a very caring person and always putting her family before herself.
Sis will be deeply missed by her son, Mark A. NULPH and wife, Tammy, of Kittanning; two daughters, Pamela S. CUPEC and husband, William, of Dayton, and Lisa K. LAMISON of Kittanning; six grandchildren, Steven, Kayli, Miranda, Alayna, Sara, and Angela; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Irene MONROE and husband, Richard, of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth Paul “Pinky” MECHLING, and Raymond E. “Red” MECHLING.
Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2014, at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM with the Rev. John W. Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery in Rayburn Township.
